The "L" factor certainly have great of deal. The "L" factor is Luck.
How many people have good academic scores, but have a bad job.
Job that not equivalent with his/ her major.
Majoring in politic & social science work in bank or leasing company, psychology graduate working in advertising company, law graduate working as graphic designer, etc.
I don't mean to say you have to work in the same field as your major was, but you have to work in the suitable field for you, which is the same as your major or your skilled at.
If a law graduate have more skill in graphic design than law, go for graphic design.
